The Lady Dinos’ traveled to Sleepy Ridge Golf Course on Wednesday, May 17 to participate in the state tournament. The ladies finished in 12th place with a score of 235 points. On May 18, there was a second round of golf for those teams who placed in the top 10. Due to the Dinos 12th place finish, they did not advance to the second round.
Aubrey Fausett led the team with 65 points, Laini Davis and Gwyn Kardelis, 57 and Jordan Bianco, 56.
“All of the girls had a great start,” stated head coach Kenji Otani. “Through the first five we were as good as any team there. Unfortunately, this game is fickle and we lost the momentum and couldn’t regain it. The girls gave 100% and I can’t ask for more. I am very proud of all of them. It is bitter sweet telling the team we’ll get them next year, for my seniors this was next year.”
