The Carbon Lady Dinos desperately needed a win Tuesday at North Sanpete to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Hawks handed the Lady Dinos a 6-0 loss, though, all but eliminating Carbon from playoff contention.
In a herculean effort, North Sanpete’s Angela Clayton was a one-woman wrecking crew, scoring all six goals to get her team its fourth region win. Carbon failed to score for the fifth straight game.
Carbon (2-9-1, 1-6 Region 12) will have to win or tie at Canyon View (8-6-1, 7-0 Region 12) on Thursday and Richfield (3-9-1, 1-5-1 Region 12) would have to lose at North Sanpete (5-10, 4-3 Region 12) on the same day to remain in playoff contention. The Lady Dinos currently sit in last place behind the Wildcats.
