Lady Dinos Narrowly Lose Opening Game in Overtime

The Lady Dinos kicked off their soccer season in a tough competition against Union on Friday. A final push by the Cougars in overtime put them over the Dinos for the 3-2 win.

Both teams were scoreless throughout the first half while a competitive second half saw both teams notch two goals a piece. Ivonne Vega led the offense for the Dinos, scoring both goals.

The overtime period saw tough competition from Carbon before a Union goal put the team behind for a loss to start the season.

The Dinos will next travel to take on South Sevier on Tuesday. The team will host its first game against Emery on Aug. 27. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
