The Carbon Lady Dinos faced stiff competition over the weekend as they traveled to St. George to take on Pine View on Thursday before finishing the weekend at the March Warm-Up Classic.
The Lady Dinos scored 10 runs in the final two innings to complete the comeback on Thursday against Pine View, earning the win 18-10. Carbon scored 15 of its 18 runs in the final three innings of the game.
It was then five games spanning Friday and Saturday in the March Warm-Up Classic for the Lady Dinos.
They kicked off the Classic with a smashing of Beaver in five innings, 11-0. Carbon then earned a hard-fought victory over Skyline, ID 15-11 after scoring 11 of the 15 runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, combined. The team then finished off Friday with a five-inning victory over Lincoln County, Nev., 19-4.
Both of Carbon’s games on Saturday ended in defeat, losing to Desert Hills 6-1 and to Rigby, ID, 9-5.
Carbon (6-2, 1-0 Region 14) will travel to Grand on Tuesday for a non-region matchup before hosting Providence Hall on Thursday.
