Having outscored their opponents 90-23 during a five-game win streak, the Carbon Lady Dinos slipped by the visiting Grand Red Devils 7-6 Wednesday afternoon at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.

Carbon has hit home runs in every game in its win streak, and two more home runs by Cali Fossat against Grand made it six straight games in which the Lady Dinos have registered at least a home run. Fossat went 4-4 in the game against the Red Devils, driving in four runs. Her 10 home runs on the season have her in third place overall in the state of Utah.

Kelsey Sorenson went 3-4 in the game, and Dekota Kraushaar, Clarissa Noyes and Kaytlyn Cripps each added two hits apiece.

Grand was able to tie the game at six apiece with a four-run sixth inning. Carbon responded with a single run in the bottom half of the inning, which ultimately ended up being the winning tally.

The Lady Dinos out-hit the Red Devils 14-6.

Carbon (16-3, 5-1 Region 14) will host cross-county rival Emery on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
