The Green River Lady Pirates used the strength of dominant first and third quarters to down the Grand Lady Red Devils in Moab on Tuesday.
Green River coasted to a 50-29 win after outscoring Grand 38-14 in the first and third quarters combined.
Green River’s Michaela Hughes and Megan Hatt led all scorers with 22 and 15 points respectively. Morgan Dalton led Grand with 14 points.
Green River next plays Tabiona on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Buffalo Shootout at Valley High School.
Grand next hosts Pinnacle at 7 p.m. Friday.
