The Emery High Lady Spartans played their first home game against Beaver on Tuesday. Starting for the team were seniors Jessica Olsen, Bayler Griffin, Camrey Johnson and Aniston Curtis as well as freshman Bailey Huggard and Megan Jensen.
Emery has six seniors this year and is a team with a lot of potential, already displaying a lot of hustle and hard work in the first home contest.
Between the second and third match of the varsity game, the Emery High Spardettes danced to “Respect.” After, it was announced that the volleyball team planned to take the money that was earned at the gate and donate it to the Jacobson family.
Emery won the first game 25-19 before dropping the second 25-12. The Spartans stepped up in the third for a 25-21 win and secured the overall game in the fourth, 25-23.
Emery will travel to Payson for a matchup on Thursday.
