The Lady Spartans extended their impressive win streak to six on Tuesday as the team bested Richfield at a game in Castle Dale. Emery took the Region 15 game 4-2.
Emery jumped out to a quick lead in the first half, going into the break with a 3-0 advantage. Richfield responded with two goals in the second, but it was not enough as the Spartans netted one more to take the win.
Alexis Winter led the Spartans’ offense, connecting twice with the net. Jocee Funk and Morgan Hurdsman each added a goal apiece in the game.
With the win, Emery (7-1, 3-0 Region 15) sits on top of the Region 15 standings. The Lady Spartans will continue region play on Thursday as the team hosts #2 Manti (4-2, 3-0 Region 15). Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. in Castle Dale.
