The Lady Spartans picked up a solid win over the visiting Grand Red Devils during Tuesday’s region matchup.
Emery made quick work of the first half, notching three goals for the board. Grand managed one in the first, giving Emery a 3-1 advantage going into the break.
Both teams relied on defense in the second. The lone goal following the break came from the Lady Spartans as they added a final point to the board for the 4-1 win.
The win puts Emery in second place in the Region 15 standings, just behind Manti. The Spartans will look for another win on Thursday as the team travels to Richfield to take on the Wildcats.
