The Emery High Lady Spartans closed out the regular season with an 8-3 win over Delta on Tuesday.
Emery closed out the Region 10 season in third place with a 6-4 record.
Senior catcher MarKette Tanner led the Spartan offense with a home run and double en route to a 3-for-4 day at the plate. Tanner recorded five RBIs in the contest.
Whitney Roper gave up just five hits to record the win from the pitcher’s circle.
Emery’s next contest will be a first-round match-up in the State Tournament with Wasatch on Saturday in Cedar City. Emery won the two teams’ only meeting earlier this season.
