The Emery High softball team routed Richfield 9-0 Tuesday afternoon in Castle Dale.
Shelby Mason led the Spartan offense with a 4-for-4 effort, including a double. Bryton Hess also contributed two clutch hits, finishing the day 2-for-4
Whitney Roper dominated her second straight game from the pitcher’s circle, surrendering just four hits in seven innings. Roper has tossed 14 consecutive scoreless innings.
The win improved Emery’s region record to 4-2, and vaulted the team to second-place in Region 12.
Emery’s next tilt will be Tuesday in Castle Dale against Manti.
