Little League Wrestlers Compete at Beehive Brawl

Four area little league teams were listed as competitors in the recent Beehive Brawl in Richfield, including the Carbon Raptors, East Carbon Diggers, Moab Junior Devils, Green River Grapplers and Emery Allstars.

Wrestlers from eight western states competed at the brawl as representatives from Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington and Utah filled the Sevier Valley Center, ranging in age from under six to 15.

Wrestlers who placed from Carbon Raptors were Jantz Greenhalgh, six and under, 40 lbs, fourth place; Merritt Loveless, six and under, 37 lbs, sixth place; and Gabe Emery, 10 and under, 85 lbs, sixth place.

The Green River Grapplers were represented by Darris Todd, six and under, 37 lbs, first place; Spencer Wright, 10 and under, 70 lbs, sixth; and Lucas Todd, 10 and under, 52 lbs, third place.

Emery Allstars who placed were Benjamin Farley, six and under, 60 lbs, sixth place; Hazen Meccariello, eight and under, 75 lbs, second place; Monty Christiansen, 10 and under, 55 lbs, third place; Easton Thornley, 10 and under, 90 lbs, third place; Sid Christiansen, 12 and under, 70 lbs, sixth place; Byron Christiansen, 12 and under, 80 lbs, second place;  Hayes Dalton 12 and under, 130 lbs, sixth place;  Bryar Meccariello, 12 and under, 130 lbs, third place; and Jess Christiansen, 15 and under, 75 lbs, fifth place.

The Emery Allstars finished in 16th out of the 164 registered teams.
