Six local school students won a Price City essay contest designed to boost community spirit among area youth.
Four students from Creekview Elementary – Makenna Wallace, Cora Luke, Lexi Chappell and Emily Jesperson – and two students from Pinnacle Canyon Academy, Tennessee Rubio and Mya Funk, won the awards.
Each winner was given a new stereo system and an opportunity to read her story aloud at Tuesday’s Price City Council meeting.
Parents, teachers and principals attended the meeting in support of the students.
