Lowe Bashes Home Run, Leads Carbon to Region Win

Cody Lowe hit his first home run of the season and drove in six runs in the Carbon Dinos’ 13-5 win over Providence Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

The game was a makeup of a rained out contest that was supposed to happen back on March 23.

Lowe went 4-5 in the game with a home run, a double and two singles en route to six RBIs. Ty Anderson added two more hits, going 2-4, with a double and an RBI. Nate Olson tripled in the game, adding two more RBIs for Carbon. Braxton Bennett chipped in two singles in the game with two RBIs as well.

The Dinos scored in every inning but the fourth, plating a game-high six runs in the sixth inning.

Zac Bradley started on the mound, throwing five innings while striking out five. He gave up three runs, two earned, and just five hits. Jadon Robertson pitched the final two innings, allowing just one hit.

Carbon (10-5, 3-0 Region 14) will travel to Delta on Friday.
