Price native Robbie Mitchell continues to put on a good show in the WORCS series, having earned a podium finish at every race this year. Round four of the series was hosted at Crazyhorse Campground in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Mitchell continued his podium streak with a second place finish on Sunday.

“I am really happy with how the race turned out,” Mitchell commented. “I feel good about my efforts and can’t wait until round five.”

The race started out in his favor as Mitchell came out with the holeshot. He battled out the lead with another rider before he was passed a little over three laps into the race. Mitchell slipped into second and kept the position for the remainder of the race.

“He had a pretty good sized gap on me, but I was able to get it down to 32 seconds at one point,” he explained. “Then, I faded back to 40 at the finish. It was too little too late for me this time. If I had been in normal shape I think I could have made it a really close race to the finish.”

Mitchell fell behind on training due to his recent wedding and honeymoon as well as school. The young rider looks forward to training for the first Utah race of the series. Mitchell will travel to Hurricane in mid-April.

“I would like to give a huge thanks to my wife, parents, family, friends and fans,” Mitchell said, “I also want to thank my sponsors. Without all of you, this wouldn’t be possible.”
