Castle Dale’s Museum of the San Rafael hosted a fundraiser on Saturday to raise funds for new exhibits.

TheВ inauguralВ Dine with the Dinosaurs dinner was held at the museum to benefit the museum’s need of new exhibits. Although the city pays for the building, they don’t have money to pay for new exhibits.

Hamburgers and hotdogs were sold, along with pictures with dinosaurs. Those in attendance could take part in a raffle and were treated with music by local band Muddy Creek.

Stuffed dinosaurs, shirts and other items were also sold during the event.

The event started slow but gained momentum as the day progressed.

“We hoped to get a lot of people here,” said Museum Director Margaret Keller. “Especially with everything else that is going on.”

The museum is not receiving as many grants as they have in the past, so the museum was in need of raising money for improvements.
