New Director Takes Charge of Emery County Business Chamber

Angie Jewkes will now lead the charge of the Emery County Business Chamber as she serves as director.

After nearly one year of serving as the Emery County Business Chamber Director, Amanda Leonard has passed the reins to the organization’s new director.

Emery County native Angie Jewkes will be stepping into the director position to fill Leonard’s role. Chamber members thanked Leonard for her dedicated service and welcomed Jewkes to the position during a recent lunch and learn event.

“I just want thank the board for letting me be a part of the chamber and I loved getting to know some great people in our community,” Leonard said. “I look forward to continuing advocating the chamber and working with them to support local events and businesses. It is a great organization with fantastic board members who truly care about Emery County Businesses and their success.”

Jewkes will bring a variety of expertise to the position, including her own experience working in Emery County for years.

“I’m very excited to join the chamber as their new director,” Jewkes said. “I’m a life-long resident of Emery County and I’m happy for the opportunity to be involved with the local businesses to help think of ways to grow our economy.”

In addition to serving the chamber, Jewkes is well-known for her work as an agent at Bridge Realty as well as a cosmetologist.

“I love this area and the people here and look forward to meeting and working with new people,” Jewkes finished.
