New Price and Helper Officials to Take Oath of Office on January 2

The recently elected government officials for Price and Helper cities will take their oath of office on Tuesday.

Price City will welcome three officials, including a new mayor, during its ceremony at 12 p.m. Michael Kourianos will step into office as the city’s new mayor while Amy Knott-Jespersen will take a council seat. Incumbent Terry Willis will pledge to another term on the council. The event will take place at the Price City Council Chambers located at 185 East Main Street.

Helper City will host a similar ceremony at the city’s council chambers at 11 a.m. that same day. The city will also be welcoming a new mayor as Lenise Petterman takes the reins. Two other women will join Petterman in the city’s government as Malarie Matsuda and Donna Archuleta pledge their services to the council.

Members of the community are welcome to attend both ceremonies.
