Orangeville City Recorder Ruanne Leeflang swore in the 2014-15 Orangeville Youth City Executive Council on Sept. 4.

The youth council is a service oriented group that provides the youth of Orangeville an opportunity to get involved with the city government and to provide opportunities for service and education. Social events are also held. The youth city council is open to youth that live in Orangeville in grades 7-12.

All youth city council members will represent the city and are expected to serve, be individuals of character and integrity, set an appropriate example, attend meetings and support the goals of the council. This is an opportunity to serve the community, develop leadership skills and participate in educational experiences.

Orangeville Youth that are interested in participating in youth city council can get an application at city hall.
