Helper’s Main Street recently played host to the town’s Castle Gate Outlaw Day, bringing old Western fun and entertainment to area participants.

Those who took part in the day’s activities were treated to good food and a good time as the morning started with a breakfast of biscuits and gravy. The day continued with such activities as face-painting and presentations by Bill Betenson, Butch Cassidy’s great-grand nephew, as well as a documentary and a cowboy poetry reading.

A birthday celebration was also hosted in the memory of Matt Warner to conclude the events at the Hotel Clampers Building.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Western Mining and Railroad Museum.
