Taking time out of a busy and full Halloween week, the Pinnacle Dance Theater welcomed the community to enjoy their presentation of “Iconic,” featuring 34 dancers, on Tuesday.

This presentation was the dance theater’s sixth production since its inception and the first of the new school year. Pinnacle Dance Theater was founded in the fall of 2016 and currently boasts four seniors, Zoey Kocks, Avery MacLean, Brielle Motte and Kylee Van Wagoner, who have been a part of the dance troupe since its birth.

Performances were done to Madonna’s “Vogue,” The Contours’ “Do You Love Me,” Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice Baby,” as well as a medley of Janet Jackson classics. Ten other pieces were also performed that covered an array of various dance and music styles.

Junior Tate Stansfield used his production class knowledge to rig all of the lighting and Raeliegh Miller and Stephanie Sasser from the school’s film class filmed the production from four different angles. Panther Dance Theater performs at various school events such as halftimes, spirit week and graduation as well as community events such as the Helper Light Parade, Zombie Run, First Friday and more.
