The phrase “it’s a hard job, but somebody has got to do it” is one that comes to mind when janitorial services are brought up. The semi-new administration building located on 100 North in Price that houses many county departments, including the Carbon County Commission Chambers, is an especially large building to maintain cleanliness.

However, Patricia Pyne does just that. Nominated by a fellow worker, Pyne was named the Carbon County Employee of the Month for June and honored during the recent commission meeting by Rose Barnes.

The coworker that nominated by Pyne was unable to attend the meeting. However, she was sure to leave a message with Barnes to be read during the meeting.

“She is constantly on the move from the time she enters the office to the time she leaves,” Pyne’s coworker shared.

Barnes added that Pyne is careful to never disrupt phone calls or meetings while she is performing her duties. She maintains the beauty of the area. Pyne is described as punctual, always busy and keeps herself occupied with keeping the building clean and presentable to the public as well as the employees.

Pyne was then awarded with a plaque by county officials.
