How would you like a fresh, hot pizza made exclusively for you on your next trip to Delicate Arch or The World’s Longest Art Gallery with warm cheese, crisp vegetables and a fresh, thick crust?

Are you drooling yet?

Recently opened, Mama DeLuca’s is offering just that inside the newly renovated Miller’s Travel Center in Wellington.

The restaurant, which has been in operation for around nine years, is a co-brand of Subway and is proud to offer customers a pizza experience unlike any other.

“We make pizzas fresh in front of you and they’re made to order.” said Mama DeLuca’s Operations and Training Specialist Adam Fritsch. “So, you can put whatever you want on the pizzas and you can have it fast.”

Fritsch spent time last week training employees at the new restaurant and is excited for this new addition not only to the Castle Country area, but to Utah as well.

“This is the first one in Utah,” he said, “so it’s exciting for us.”

The franchise, which is found in nearly 14 states according to Fritsch, was brought to the area by Subway franchisee Jason Miller.

As a co-brand of the popular sandwich shop, Mama DeLuca’s takes Subway’s popular, fresh approach to sandwiches and applies it to pizza.

Boasting partially cooked dough, fresh meat and vegetables and a number of options mirroring favorite sandwiches, the establishment is happy to assemble and bake a pizza for individuals in the same time it would take to order a sandwich from the neighboring franchise.

“We can bake pizzas in two minutes or less,” Fristch said.

In addition to classic options such as supreme pizzas, Mama DeLuca’s is proud to offer customers breakfast pizzas and customizable pizzas with many of the favorite ingredients and sauces found at Subway as well as pizzas inspired by favorite sandwiches such as Philly steak and cheese.

The dough is vegan-friendly and vegetarian options are also available as well as take-and-bake options.

The restaurant also offers food items besides pizzas including Stromboli, chicken wings and more.

“I think we’re probably one of the only pizza places that makes the pizza in front of you,” Fristch said.

Mama DeLuca’s is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the week in Wellington’s Miller’s Travel Center, located at 2195 East Main Street. More information on the franchise can be found online at mamadecluaspizza.com.
