A driver of a stolen vehicle led authorities on a chase Tuesday morning on I-70.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jared Cornia, the driver was operating a Mercedes stolen from Colorado. Starting in Colorado, police pursued the vehicle that was traveling westbound on I-70. At 9:36 a.m., Colorado State Patrol contacted the Utah Highway Patrol to request assistance for the vehicle that would soon cross state lines into Utah.

At mile post 182 on I-70, Utah Highway Patrol troopers spiked the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle finally pulled over at mile post 174, upon which four people exited the vehicle and fled. Authorities were able to apprehend all four suspects at 10:10 a.m.

According to trooper Cornia, there were no injuries as a result of the incident. Drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the ordeal, based on early reports.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the parties involved.
