The Bureau of Land Management Price Field Office announces that the Price Canyon Recreation Area will be closed for the season starting November 1, 2012.
Due to weather related concerns, the water was shut off on October 12, 2012 to prevent the water system from freezing and causing unnecessary repairs next spring.
Price Canyon Recreation Area may also be temporarily closed during the week of October 21 for a prescribed fire burn if weather allows. This project is located in Price Canyon next to the Price Canyon Campground. В The burn is approximately 200 acres and will take about two days to complete. The burn is being conducted to reduce wildfire risk to the Price Canyon Campground, restore ponderosa pine stands, and improve wildlife habitat.
