Music of the Heart headlined Price City’s Culture Connection event Thursday at the Peace Gardens near the Price City building.

The band pushed through blustery conditions to play a few songs before rains shortened the set.

Tom Berryman said, “It would be nice if they had a pavilion out here for bad weather, and it would be help the Peace Gardens get used more.”

A short break in the weather allowed the band to perform about half the planned songs.

Tom Smith quipped, “I think our prayers have been answered because it’s going around us, or maybe your prayers were that it would rain.”

The crowd and band scrambled for cover as the skies opened and the drizzle turned into a downpour.
