Price City Describes Secondary Water Process

Price City Press Release

Price City gets its water from Colton Springs, developed in 1919, which supports the majority of the citys demand for domestic (household) culinary water. In the summer, usage increases as grass and gardens are watered and cars are washed. The additional water comes from water shares in Scofield Reservoir, which comes down the Price River and through the water treatment plant.

Once leaving the plant, a certain amount of water flows directly into the city while the bulk of water flows through two water storage tanks, totaling 13 million gallons, located on either side of the city. The storage of water creates pressure and backup for emergency usage, particularly fire protection.

We made it through the drought of 1992, we can do it again in 2015! Just slow the flow.
