Officer Jared Hansen was welcomed to the Price City Police force on Wednesday at a council meeting with an administration of oath of office conducted by judge Jon Carpenter.

The oath was read and signed by officer Hansen, who then shook hands with each of the members of the city council. Police Chief Kevin Drolc then took some time to speak about Hansen, stating that he had been with the force now for nearly three weeks.

Officer Hansen is a veteran officer that moved to the area from Ephraim, where he worked for the city’s police department for 13 years.

“I’m happy to be here, so far my experience here has been fantastic,” said Hansen.

Officer Hansen continued by stating that the force has been very helpful in his transition. He then introduced his two children, parents and girlfriend who were in attendance.
