Starting off a new season of WORCS racing, Price Native Robbie Mitchell managed a second-place victory in the season’s first race hosted in Mesquite, Nev.

The race started slowly for the Carbon County native, though he was able to move from fifth to second by the second turn, even entering first before an off-road section of the run.

Hanging on to first throughout the majority of the race, minor mistakes cost Mitchell his place near the end of the race, though he held on tight and still managed second.

“It’s not what I wanted,” shared Mitchell, “but I’ll use what I learned today to get the win at Primm.”

Mitchell will once again travel to Nevada later tis month as the series moves to Primm. The racer thanked his wife, BreAnn, his supporters as well as his sponsors for their support thus far in the new season.
