Longtime Price resident Denise Young has been driving a bus in the Carbon School District for 18 years. Young drives a bus for Castle Valley Center and takes her job seriously, focusing on the safety of the children and the quality of her work.
The Utah Safety Council will award Young with the title of Bus Driver of the Year this week. The Utah Safety Council is known for devoting its efforts in the last 75 years to making Utah a safe place to live and work, according to the website.
Young was nominated for the award by a fellow coworker.
Young will attend a luncheon this week to receive the bus driver of the year award from the Utah Safety Council. Young is one of four people receiving a safety award at the luncheon.
