DWR Press Release

The newly created Private Aquaculture Advisory Council will provide advice and recommendations to the commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Food, and members of the Utah Wildlife Board, regarding private fish ponds, private fish stocking and other private aquaculture-related items in Utah.

The council needs members to represent the state’s anglers, the private aquaculture industry, private ponds and private facilities that charge a fee to fish. If you’d like to serve on the council, you must be nominated by a private aquaculture group or a non-profit sport fishing group. June 30 is the last day that nominations will be accepted.

The nomination form—and more information about the council—are available at www.wildlife.utah.gov/paac-nominations.html.
