Rams Swing Past Spartans for Region Win

The South Sevier Rams scored eight of their 12 runs in the first two innings to take the 12-6 win over the Emery Spartans Tuesday afternoon in Castle Dale.

The Rams scored four runs in each of the first and second innings. They also had 12 hits to Emery’s eight.

Easton Gordon and Colton Willson each went 3-4, combining for all three RBIs in the game. All six hits were singles.

After falling behind 8-1 in the second, Emery added four runs spanning the second and third innings to keep the game close. South Sevier then scored three more in the sixth to round out the scoring.

Cade Brazier took the loss on the mound, allowing four runs on five hits over six innings. He also issued seven walks. Jace Collard started the game, allowing eight runs on eight hits.

Emery (6-3, 1-2 Region 15) will travel to Monroe on Friday for another matchup with Rams.
