Restorative Neurology played host to a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday afternoon as members of the community joined to welcome David McOmber’s new practice.

McOmber, ACNP-BC, is a board certified nurse practitioner who treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. He works with patients’ primary care physicians to create personalized treatment plans and procedures, as necessary.

McOmber completed his Master of Science, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree, as well as his Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing Education from The University of Michigan, College of Nursing. He has brought that education and experience to Price to serve the residents of Southeastern Utah at Restorative Neurology.

“Restorative Neurology is this belief that we don’t have to stay the way we are,” McOmber said. “Our diagnosis doesn’t define us. We can actually live beyond it.”

McOmber brings 20 years of experience to Castle Country residents. He specializes in migraines/headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, poor sleep/snoring, sleep apnea/CPAP, adult ADHD and vitamin deficiency.

“We have cutting edge neurologic treatments, tried and true complementary therapies, nutrition, one-on-one coaching and more, and I look forward to bringing this to Southeastern Utah,” said McOmber.

The practice will also offer general neurology care for epilepsy, neurology, poor memory, depression, weakness and tremors.

“My time in neuro rehabilitation, and through personal experience has taught me that each person is greater than the total of our parts,” McOmber said. “It has also taught me that just because we can’t “cure” a disease yet, doesn’t mean that life and participation in your life is forever impaired. There are many avenues that can be done to to make life worth living.”

McOmber is a recent transplant to the community. He brought with him a wife and two children as well as the family dog. In recent months, his family has spent time enjoying the offerings of Southeastern Utah.

“We love the community and the opportunities that are available here,” McOmber said.

Restorative Neurology is located at 590 East 100 North, Suite 7 in Price. McOmber sees patients Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (435) 613-0733. More information can also be found on the practice’s Facebook page.
