Price native Robbie Mitchell ended the 2017 WORCS season with a podium finish over the weekend in Adelanto, Calif.
Mitchell got an impressive start in the pro race, grabbing the hole shot. The racer’s lead slipped as fellow competitor Beau Barron snuck into first. Mitchell was able to hold on to his second place position, though, to take a podium finish after more than an hour of racing.
The second-place finish earned Mitchell third place overall for the season, just behind Barron and Mike Sloan.
“I’m really happy to finish the season healthy,” Mitchell said. “Now, it’s time to focus on the 2018 season and the arrival of our baby in November.”
Mitchell also took time to extend thanks to the sponsors that supported him throughout the season, including DWT Racing, Moose Racing, Zbroz, LMR, Tire Blocks, Fasst co., Campbell Racing Fabrications, Spider Graphic, HMF, Quadtech, Powermadd, IMS, Hot Rods, Hot Cams, Pivot Works, Wisco and EVS.
