Rocky Mountain Homecare and Hospice Press Release

This year marks the third annual Thanksgiving dinner for the homebound put on by Rocky Mountain Homecare and Hospice.

This started three years ago when one of our nurses noticed a few of her patients were without family locally and did not have the means to get out on Thanksgiving day. Together, our team decided to provide any of our patients that are homebound and without family to assist with a Thanksgiving meal complete with pumpkin pie.

For our third year, we have opened it up to the community as well. We have taken on patients and non-patients alike, locally and from the East Carbon area. Fresh Market of Price has donated a turkey while our local Wal-Mart has donated a gift card to aid in our endeavor. The remainder of our meal is provided by the staff itself.

Our team got together Tuesday, Nov. 25 to put together plates for delivery in the days before Thanksgiving. It fills our hearts to know people who would otherwise not have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner are getting just that.
