Seven Add Points to Junior High Rodeo Standings

The Emery Junior High Rodeo team competed the last two weekends to wrap up the fall season. After four rodeos, multiple team members added points to their standings.

Byron Christiansen ended with a first, third and fourth in bulls, three second-place finishes, and a first in bares. Christiansen also took third and fourth in boys’ goats, second and 10th in chute dogging, and fourth in saddle broncs.

Monty Christiansen captured a third and fourth in bulls, third in bares and fifth in ribbon roping. Race Gordon gained points with a third and sixth in chute dogging, second in ribbon roping, seventh and eighth in boys’ breakaway, and fourth in team roping with partner Zeek Weber.

Cole Magnuson added points with a third and 10th in ribbon roping and second in bulls. Graycee Mills had a second and fifth in girls’ goats as well as first, fourth and fifth in barrels. Mills also secured third, sixth and eighth in poles. Matthew Olsen took eighth in team roping and Weber ended in fourth in team roping and seventh in boys’ break away.

The next junior high rodeo is planned for February in Hurricane.
