I would like to thank our wonderful community for all of the support shown to the Search and Rescue Demolition Derby. We had a good time putting on this event and were very pleased with the outcome. Thanks for supporting the Search and Rescue and we look forward to putting on an awesome show next year.

The Sheriff’s Office has been busy over the past week; we have Sgt. Ronnie Bogdin retiring after 25 years of service to this community. We are very proud of him and the job he has done. His years of experience and expertise will be missed and never forgotten. He has agreed to stay involved with the Sheriff’s Office and will return to assist with training as needed.

We are pleased to announce that promotion of deputy Shawn Addley to the position of sergeant. We are excited about this opportunity and feel Sgt. Addley will do a great job for the Sheriff’s Office.

I just wanted to remind everyone that school starts on August 24 so let’s be aware of the children walking and waiting for the school buses. We are also going into the flood season and now is the time to start preparing. Be sure all culverts are clear of debris and that your rain gutters are in shape for the monsoon season. Enjoy your summer and stay safe out there.

It’s a true pleasure to serve this great community in the position of sheriff.
