“A Night of Shakespeare” was hosted Monday evening in the CHS auditorium for community members. The event featured mixed choir, men’s choir, musettes, concert choir and vocal jazz.

The concert highlighted Shakespearean plays ranging from “Romeo and Juliet” to “Twelfth Night.” The audience was also treated to the audition men’s choir’s rendition of  “The Tempest,” which had the vocalists dressed up as modernistic pirates.

The evening included numerous soloists from audition choirs including Sophia Fulcher, Brandon Tallerico, Sarah Ohwiler, Alonso Navarro, Nate Carpenter and Chase Morgan. This Shakespearean mixture also featured choir director Arthella Williams and Vivian Bake as the accompanist.

All proceeds from this event will benefit those of the choirs who are attending the spring tour in March to California.
