USU Eastern Press Release

Utah State Eastern volleyball coach Danielle Jensen recently announced the addition of Julia Shettell as the program’s assistant coach. Shettell returns to her alma mater to help the program continue to build off its impressive 2017 season.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of the USU Eastern volleyball family. I have always admired Danielle’s coaching style and the success that she has had. I feel honored to have been given this opportunity. I hope to continue to bring much success to this elevating program and to the lives of each of our athletes,” said Shettell.

Jensen is excited to bring Shettell aboard because of her background and experience in the sport.

“Julia will be a great addition to the program. She comes in with a strong background in setting as well as a strong knowledge of the game. Julia has an amazing work ethic and a very competitive nature,” said Jensen.

Prior to joining the USU Eastern staff, she was the head coach at Carbon High School, where she played her prep career before playing at USU Eastern. She has over five years of coaching experience and holds a bachelors degree in Spanish/psychology.

Shettell has been married for five years to her husband Jordan. The couple has two children.
