Second-half shooting woes doomed the Lady Panthers as they hosted American Leadership Academy on Tuesday.

Pinnacle started strong, keeping the visiting team to only six points in the first quarter. ALA grabbed another nine in the second, giving Pinnacle the small 19-15 advantage at the half.

The Panthers’ smallest output of the game came in the third quarter when the team managed only two points while giving ALA its biggest quarter of the game with 16 points. ALA went on to outscore the hosting team 15-10 in the final quarter to take the 46-31 win.

Nikki Borba led the Panthers with eight points. Six of her teammates also made buckets in the game.

Pinnacle will look to rebound on Friday as the team travels to take on region foe Whitehorse for a 7 p.m. tip.
