The United Way of Eastern Utah hosted a dance benefit on March 26. Proceeds from the event went to the United Way’s Soles 2 Souls program which provides shoes to Carbon and Emery County students.
Children who do not have adequate shoes for school would receive a pair through the program. Needy students are referred to the United Way only by the schools.
Monetary donations are accepted at the United Way office in Price. There are also shoe bins located at local businesses including Payless Shoe Source, Big 5 Sporting Goods and Alco in Castle Dale. Participants in the dance benefit included Castle Country Stars, USU Eastern Cheer, Helper Cheer and Adrenaline All Stars Cheer.
