Kelsey Sorenson and Jodi Noyes combined for 40 points to lead the Carbon Lady Dinos to the 68-50 win over 4A Uintah on Thursday. Sorenson led all scorers with 21 points while Noyes added 19.
It was the second time this season that Carbon upended Uintah, with the Lady Dinos taking a 50-27 victory over the Utes back on Dec. 2.
After Uintah took an 8-4 lead in the first quarter, the Lady Dinos finished the half on a 26-5 run to take the 30-13 lead at the break.
Carbon led by as many as 26 in the second half, 43-17, before Uintah went on a 14-0 run to end the third quarter.
Noyes scored the first bucket of the fourth quarter for the Lady Dinos as the team coasted to the non-region victory.
During its current three-game winning streak, Carbon has outscored its opponents by a whopping 194-106 margin.
Carbon (8-3, 2-1 Region 14) will enjoy the Christmas break before travelling to North Summit (4-5, 0-0 Region 16) on Dec. 29.
