A recent luncheon served to recognize South East Early Intervention as the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce’s community service spotlight for August. A representative from the organization was on hand at the luncheon to accept the recognition and tell attendees more about what is offered locally.

South East Early Intervention aims to help infants and toddlers reach their developmental milestones. This program is unique in the fact that it is home-based, allowing families to receive services in a comfortable environment. The program serves infants and toddlers who have, or at risk for, developmental delays.

“The mission of the South East program is to provide families with the knowledge and tools to enhance their child’s growth and development,” the program shared. “Program staff implements family-centered practices which support the philosophy that a family’s concerns, values, priorities and resources establish the framework for service. This process results in the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), which directs the specific services needed for the child and who will deliver those services.”

Interested parties can find South East Early Intervention at its new location in Price, 540 West Price River Drive. South East Early Intervention is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information in Carbon County, please call (435) 637-3950.
