Several Spartans are donning their uniforms again for the 2017 Soccer Season, one which head coach Troy Winter remains positive will be a good one.

“I’m very optimistic,” he said after the soccer team recently traveled to the St. George Tournament.

Going 2-1, Emery managed victories over Juab, 1-0, and Summit Academy, 4-0, on Friday last week before falling to Delta on Saturday morning, 3-1.

Winter remains confident, though, that his team will be able to grow and improve.

This year’s team is made up of around 10 seniors, a number of juniors and sophomores and a total of fourteen freshman.
