San Rafael Middle School lost only two matches on the mat at Canyon View Middle School on Thursday. The Bulldogs defeated the Cougars 84-12.
Halfway through the season, this leaves SRMS as the only undefeated team in Castle Country. The competition will continue until the Dec. 13 tournament hosted by San Rafael Middle School in Ferron.
An interesting side note is that Ken and Earlene Christiansen from Emery have seven grandsons that all wrestle for the Bulldogs: Jess, Monty, Byron, Jack and Sid Christiansen as well as Mason Stewart and Zeek Weber. Quite a wrestling family!
