Steve Carlsen returned to the Culture Connection stage Thursday evening, though this time he wasn’t joined by a fellow Carbon School District employee.

Thursday evening found the Superintendents of Rock taking a turn at the mics and entertaining the Carbon County public with a mix of classic rock.

Despite inclement weather resulting in an early end to the concert, the four superintendents from various parts of the beehive state managed to pull together an act that had many dancing and singing along.

Carbon’s own Carlsen, Grand’s Scott Crane, Tooele’s Scott Rogers as well as Tintic’s Kodey Hughes made up the band that spent the evening playing classic numbers from artists such as Billy Joel, the Eagles and Creedence Clearwater.

The concert series, hosted by Price City, will continue next week as the Metro Music Club will help kick off Price’s annual International Days. The concerts are held weekly on Thursday evenings at seven in the Price City Peace Gardens and are sponsored by Castleview Hospital, Loveless Ash, Sutherlands and USU Eastern.
