Members of the Emery County Historical Society were led by Merrill Duncan on a trip to the Ferron Box on Saturday as part of the society’s monthly meeting.
Some of the sights of historical importance included petroglyphs throughout the entirety of the canyon. Along the Molen Reef formation stone, spheres ranging from baseball size to ten feet in diameter could be seen.
The Box is home to Segregation Panel and Rainbow Panel, two of the most unique rock art panels in the San Rafael Swell, along with moccasin tracks and other notable sites.
Many members and guests enjoyed the day on the desert.
