Update on Helper Construction Projects

Work on the Helper project continues to move along well. The schedule for next week will include work on the following:

Culinary Water System:

Crews will be working on water service connections on 1st Ave., 2nd Ave. and 3rd Ave.

Storm Drain:

Crews will continue installing storm drains on Main Street, 100 North and Bryner Street. Residents will need to use the detour route on 1st Ave. or Roosevelt Street.

Sewer System:

Crews will continue sewer service connection work on Bryner Street. Residents will need to use the detour route on 1st. Ave. or Roosevelt Street.

Road Reconstruction:

Crews will continue to work on the road reconstruction this week. Concrete curb and gutter is scheduled to begin on 100 North and 1st Ave. on Wednesday. Asphalt installation is scheduled to begin on the Frontage Road and Lincoln Road on Wednesday. As crews place curb and gutter, access to driveways will be restricted for up to seven days to allow for concrete to cure. We ask that residents please park cars on the street.

Residents on 100 North, please park on 2nd or 3rd Ave. Residents on 1st Ave. please park on the west side of the road. As asphalt is placed in front of your house, there will be a few hours where access to driveways will be restricted. Please be aware of when the paving crews approaches your house to avoid access problems. Please notify us if there are any special situation regarding restricted access to driveways during this period.

There may be an occasional interruption of your sewer and water services. We will work to restore service as quickly as possible. Residents will be given 24 hour notice of any planned interruption of services. We ask that you keep your vehicles in your driveways and off of the streets unless otherwise directed as construction passes your home, allowing construction progress to continue.
