The Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah men’s basketball team stumbled against Western Wyoming at the BDAC on Saturday.

The loss was only USU Eastern’s second of the season. The game ended 89-80.

A scheduling quirk pitted USU Eastern against Western Wyoming on consecutive Saturdays. The Golden Eagles’ first loss came against the same squad.

Neveij Walters led the Golden Eagles with 26 points. Walters enjoyed a perfect shooting night going 12-for-12 on the night.

Chase Flint added 18 points for USU Eastern.

The Golden Eagles next host the Colorado Kings at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
