The Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah men’s basketball team cruised past Impact Prep on Tuesday evening and the BDAC.
USU Eastern led 45-14 at the half and cruised to an 85-31 victory.
Head coach Brian Edelstein said the key was “defense from the start. We made them take shots they didn’t want to take and play at a pace they were not used to.”
Dashaun Wiggins led the Golden Eagles with 24 points. Wiggins also had five rebounds and six assists.
Chase Flint added 12 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Matthew Marshal contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.
USU Eastern improved to 6-0 on the young season. The team’s next contest will be Friday at the Western Nebraska tournament.
